TopStreams basketball, and what to watch instead

TopStreams is an unauthorized aggregator that lists basketball games and embeds third-party feeds. Here is what it does, why it keeps moving, and the legal routes to the same games.

What TopStreams is

TopStreams is a link aggregator rather than a broadcaster. It publishes a schedule of upcoming basketball games and, at tip-off, embeds video feeds hosted elsewhere by third parties.

That structure is deliberate. An aggregator that hosts no video argues it is only linking, which makes takedowns slower and lets the operator rebuild on a new domain within hours of losing one.

It also means the quality of what you get has nothing to do with the site itself. The embedded feed is somebody else's re-broadcast, at whatever bitrate and whatever delay they are running.

Where it stands now

Sites in this category do not announce closures, they rotate domains. Names like TopStreams reappear on new suffixes after each block, and copycats adopt a known name specifically to inherit its search traffic.

The wider enforcement picture is documented. US authorities have seized dozens of pirate sports streaming domains in coordinated rounds, per TorrentFreak, and the largest network in the category was dismantled in September 2025 in an operation run with Egyptian authorities, per USA Today.

We do not track which domain is live at any moment and we do not link to any of them. The point of this page is the column on the right of the table below.

What the free route actually costs

The sticker price is zero. The real cost shows up in four places, and every one of them is worse during a game you care about.

  • The feed dies at the worst moment. Unauthorized re-broadcasts are taken down mid-game by rights holders. That tends to happen in the fourth quarter of the game with the largest audience, because that is when the takedown is worth the most to the broadcaster.
  • The advertising is the business model. These sites monetize through pop-unders, forced redirects and malicious ad networks, because no licensed advertiser will buy the inventory. Running one without a blocker is a genuine device risk.
  • Nobody is accountable to you. There is no support desk, no refund, no uptime commitment and no one to contact when a stream is 90 seconds behind the live score.
  • Your legal exposure depends on where you live. Enforcement has moved from chasing single domains to dismantling whole networks and prosecuting operators, per The New York Times. Viewers are rarely the target, but ISP-level blocking is now routine across the UK, Italy, Spain and Australia.

The legal routes below cost money. They also start when you press play and are still running at the final buzzer.

Where to watch TopStreams's coverage legally

TopStreams lists across the NBA, college basketball and the European leagues. All of it is available legally, and most of it more cheaply than people assume.

On basketballstreams.com the fixtures, live scores, standings, head-to-head records and form data across 36 leagues are free and need no account. The live video sits with a licensed operator, either Bet365 or Stake depending on which one holds a licence where you are, and unlocking it takes a funded account rather than a subscription.

Frequently asked questions

Is TopStreams legal?

No. It embeds re-broadcasts of games it holds no rights to, which is copyright infringement in essentially every jurisdiction. Enforcement targets operators rather than viewers, but ISP-level blocking of these domains is now standard in the UK, Italy, Spain and Australia.

Why does TopStreams keep changing its address?

Because domains get blocked or seized. Rotating to a new suffix is the standard response, and it is also why any given TopStreams address may be a copycat rather than the original operator.

Is there a safe free way to watch NBA basketball?

There is a genuinely free legal tier for some NBA content in certain markets, and free-to-air broadcasters carry selected games in several countries. Neither gives you the full slate. The realistic options are set out on our free basketball streams page.

What do I get on basketballstreams.com without paying anything?

Fixtures, live scores, standings, head-to-head records, last-five form and the streaming route for every game across every league we cover. No account, no payment. The live video itself sits with a licensed operator.
